Live in Johnson City: Willow Springs Park

Willow Springs Park is a beautiful park that covers 36 acres in the southern part of the city between Antioch and Huffine Road. It has been a thriving part of the community for 23 years now. The park seeks to preserve Johnson City's earliest days but featuring historical themes that can be seen in the light fixtures and playground. Park Hours

  • November 15 thru March 1: 7 am – 7 pm (Winter Hours)

  • March 2 thru November 14: 7 am – 10 pm (Summer Hours)


The Park's Features:

  • Open fields (soccer, ultimate frisbee, football)

  • Basketball court

  • Volleyball pit

  • Playground

  • Wooded trail

  • Butterfly Habitat

  • Picnic area

  • Mountain views

  • Members-only dog park

  • 1.8 miles of paved walking trails



The Park is a great place to spend the day with family, get some exercise, or simply take in the view with some fresh air. The views of Buffalo Mountain are unmatched and make it a great location for professional photoshoots such as engagements and family photos.



The dog park is a partnership between the Friends of Johnson City Dog Park Association and the City of Johnson City Parks and Recreation Department. It covers 1.6 acres of land and is located near the top of the park accessed by Huffine Road. The dog park is fenced in with a keyless entry system for members-only access.



Johnson City is marked as a beautiful mountain town with a charismatic community. Willow Springs embodies both of these themes within the park. It has become one of our favorite spots to spend the day. We hope to see you there.
